What is Freak-O-Meter?
Freak-O-Meter is a survey web site which questions ones experiences on love, sex, intimacy, and relationship topics.  It is meant to be fun for all ages, as well as being a benchmark for statistical analysis. This site is completely free, anonymous, and available to everyone around the world. It is our intention for this site to grow so that anyone whom takes a survey can compare their results (Freak-O-Meter Level) to others within the same or different city, state, country, or even worldwide.

Where did we come from?
Freak-O-Meter has evolved from jokes and idle conversation amongst friends since early 2006 to this advanced website, which is scheduled to be fully launched between mid and late 2008.  Basically the concept comes from the curiosity of how freaky people really are in retrospect to one another. Since it is inappropriate to just go up in front of most strangers and ask them about their sex life, I thought an anonymous survey is the ticket to solving this curiosity.
How are we different from other research companies?
While having this idea in my head for the past couple years I learned how other people have conducted their sex surveys, and some even profess a worldwide sex survey. They provide good data, get major news network, and the information obviously gets distributed across the masses of the world. BUT there is a seriously flaw in my opinion with every survey currently out which is their sample size.  

How can they dilute themselves in thinking that they are doing an American sex survey by phone calling only 1,500 people? That is an extremely small sample size which is supposed to represent the 700 million American citizens. What gets even funnier yet is that I came across an article stating that a research company in the UK that did a world sex survey with more of a scientific approach. I think I recall them boasting a sample size of 3,000 or 5,000 people in which they conducted the surveys in person. Can you imagine picking 5,000 people to represent over 6 billion people?
Thankfully to the readily available and world wide spread use of the internet, the barrier of sample size and resources to conduct such sex, love, and relationship surveys can now be diminished. It is my hope that this site will grow and grow to dozens of millions of users. I Feel 10 million or more users of this site will be way more valid data than 5,000 to represent the world.

Is there more to us than just statistics?
HELL YEAH!! This started out as a bunch of dudes having “man talk”.  I plan on your experience of this site to be one of just as much fun and humor as much as educational. Maybe even more. You will notice from the home page that there are 3 different user experiences that you may choose on our site. I totally understand that people from all walks of life experiences will come to this site. Of course it would also be silly to say that children would not visit Freak-O-Meter. Children find ways to do whatever they feel now a days. Freak-O-Meter has been designed to accommodate teenagers, conservative adults, and also the sexually open individuals.
